It didn’t take long for the Milwaukee Brewers (96-67, plus-23.13 betting units) to sweep the Colorado Rockies out of the National League playoffs. The Los Angeles Dodgers (92-71, minus-22.83 units) had to put in a little more work against the Atlanta Braves, but they still got the job done in four games. Milwaukee welcomes the Dodgers to Miller Park this Friday for Game 1 of the NL Championship Series; FOX and Fox Sports 1 will split the coverage, starting time to be determined.

Both teams have plenty of time to assemble their rotations ahead of Friday’s matchup. The Brewers have been using a collection of “openers” rather than relying on conventional starting pitchers; Wade Miley set the tone in Sunday’s series clincher over Colorado (–166 at home), holding the Rockies to three hits over 4.2 innings in an eventual 6-0 victory.

The Dodgers are more likely to send a classic starter to the mound – and they have several pitchers to choose from. LA stunned the baseball world by going with Hyun-Jin Ryu for Game 1 against the Braves, then Clayton Kershaw for Game 2, but both were brilliant in a pair of shutout victories for the home side.
