NFL Odds: Cowboys Host Chargers on Turkey Day

by: Philly Godfather - posted on: 21-Nov-2017

The Dallas Cowboys (5-5 SU and ATS) will resume their traditional role as Thanksgiving Day hosts when they welcome the Los Angeles Chargers (4-6 SU, 5-4-1 ATS) to Arlington this Thursday, kicking off at 4:30 PM ET on CBS. The game opened as a pick ‘em with a total of 48 points.

Dallas has lost back-to-back games SU and ATS in ugly fashion since RB Ezekiel Elliott began serving his six-game suspension. Running hasn’t been a problem, though; without LT Tyron Smith (groin), Cowboys QB Dak Prescott has taken a lot of punishment, with zero touchdown passes to show for it. Smith is listed as week-to-week, as is LB Sean Lee (hamstring), although Lee is expected to miss the next two games.

The Chargers are scrambling to stay relevant in the AFC, winning four of their last six games at 5-1 ATS despite suffering multiple injuries on the offensive line. RT Joe Barksdale (foot) is considered week-to-week, while LG Matt Slauson (biceps), OT Chris Hairston (blood clots) and RG Forrest Lamp (knee) are out for the season. QB Philip Rivers has only been sacked 12 times this year; Prescott was sacked 12 times the past two games for Dallas.
